Labelling Machine SIDEL Flexible SL90 F85 Cold Glue / Self-Adhesive
This SIDEL SL90 labelling machine has three roll feed labelling modules for the application of adhesive (pressure sensitive PSL) labels and three pre-cut cold-glue paper labelling stations both designed for round glass bottles 275 – 660 ml. Operation is anticlockwise. Machine has been operated from 2012 to 2020 when it was dismantled and placed in a warehouse.
The labelling machine SL90 operates in continuous mode and automatically adjusts the flow of incoming and outgoing containers. It is also equipped with a camera vision system which is installed in the initial section of the central carousel to detect and identify the containers. It also ensures correct application of the labels on even more complex formats.This system is ideal with containers made of glass, PET and other transparent materials.
The containers arriving on the feed conveyor are picked up by a feed screw that paces them. Then, they are transferred to the bottle carousel by an infeed star wheel. Here the containers are labelled after which they are transferred to the outfeed star wheel and eventually conveyed to the outfeed conveyor.
The carousel is supported by a load bearing mounted on the machine base, where the platforms, the jacks and the cams are located. The height of the central carousel can be electrically adjusted from the operator panel. Central carousel is rotated with a synchronous motor Direct Drive Open Frame. This type of motor is fully controlled by a software, there is no moving mechanical drives which makes it maintenance-free
All spares and change parts are on pallets and in storage with the Labeller. There are back up files for software and a Rockwell PLC Programme, this links all the conveyors to the labeller.
