Complete malt roastery with patented REVTECH Spiral Roasters. The plant includes all necessary roasting, cooling, transport, air handling and cleaning equipment. Before letting exhaust gases from roasting out to atmosphere, gases are cleaned with several filters, VOC and odors are removed with VOCSIDIZER destruction equipment. The plant has been operated 3 years and is in very good condition. This roastery is fitted for various size of grain and different type of roasted products.
Malt Roasting Plant REVTECH 1000 kg/h with VOC & Odour Destruction
This is a complete state-of-art malt roastery for beer production made by French REVTECH in year 2017 and having roasting capacity of 1000 kg/h. With this patented technology the malt quality is very high due to treatment uniformity, precision, flavour development and grain integrity. This Revtec technology also provides low energy consumption and it is environmentally friendly due to the total absence of chemical products and low to non-existing emissions depending on the products treated.
The roasting plant consist of two spiral type stainless steel tube coils which are both equipped with two electric vibrators which move grain upwards though the coils. Dry, skinned grain ingredients, bulk solids and gases are heat treated with hot air from electrical heat generation systems and vibrational transport techniques in a closed stainless-steel spiral allow rapid and highly efficient heating of grains. The roasting temperature is typically up to 200C. The innovative roaster design allows precise, customized roasting of any grain, flour, herb, or coffee bean, regardless of kernel sizing. Two roasting devices are installed side by side and they are operated in parallel operation. Both roasting devices has electric heater, vibrating unit and control panel. The first coil package has a stainless steel 1000 litre hopper equipped with an auger feeder for feeding grains into the system. Grain is cooled with soft water in the end of roasting process
After roaster the product will dryied and cooled to final discharge temperature of 20C-30C in the static fluidized bed cooler. Cooler body and a perforated sheet are entirely made in 304L stainless steel and it equipped with air sucking fan and electric vibration devices
This malt roasting system has separate Megtec Vocsidizer for VOC destruction before final outlet of roasting gases to atmosphere. It is a single-bed, flameless regenerative thermal oxidizer in a compact, modular design for VOC abatement and controlling hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). The VOCSIDIZER is a system for oxidation of mainly VOC’s and odorous compounds at temperatures between 900-1000 °C. The system use a regenerative heat exchanger to minimise the use of additional fuels to keep the oxidation temperature stabile. The flameless operation of the VOCSIDIZER means that there is no burner or combustion blower, with a neglectable generation of thermal NOx and CO generation. The VOCSIDIZER is also removing most of odour from malt roasting process.
