Air Dryer Atlas Copco BD 1400 heat reactivated adsorption air dryer
This heat reactivated adsorption air dryer is made by Atlas Copco in 2009. The drying process is based on silicagel desiccant. The equipment features two drying towers which work in turns. In other tower the moisture is adsorbed in the desiccant beads, while in the other tower the desiccant is reactivated with heated ambient air and the moisture is removed. After the regeneration the functions of the towers are switched. This process produces constant dry air at a guaranteed dewpoint of -40 °C.
