This disc cipper is made for pulb chip quality production by former Rauma Repola, nowadays METSO. The chipper has gravity feeding system, the capacity of this chipper is 240 m3/h log infeed, disc diameter is 3300 mm and it has 12 cutting knives. Motors are 2 x 800 kW ABB electric motors, disck speed 250 rpm. The equipment was dismantled last autumn and is now ready for immediate delivery.
This METSO/Rauma-Repola 12-3300 disc chipper is manufactured in year 1986 and it was dismantled in year 2012. It has nominal capacity of 250 m3 log in feed and it has been in bulb quality chip production. The Chipper has gravitational log feed, disc diameter of 3,3m and disc weight of 19,5 tons. The disc has 12 knives and is rotated by two 800kW electric motors that, through a gearbox, give it rotational speed of 250 rpm. Chipper disc is equipped with paddles that can propel the chips straight to the nearby storage silo without the need of additional conveyors. Maintenance and spare parts are available from METSO.
