The PROGRIP TX 240 is a fully automatic high-speed carry handle applicator designed for applying self-adhesive, plastic carrying handles to shrink-wrapped beverage multipacks.

Manufactured in 2017, and is configured with three independent application heads, allowing handles to be applied simultaneously across multiple product lanes. The machine feeds pre-manufactured carry-handles from three different reels, separates each handle to the required length and presses the self-adhesive attachment areas onto the upper surface of the multipack. It has three individually motorized handle-application heads mounted above the product conveyor It is suitable for integration downstream of shrink packers, tray packers, cartoners or other secondary packaging equipment.

The system automatically creates the required spacing between product groups, accurately positions the carrying handle and securely applies it during continuous production. Operation is controlled with Siemens Simatic S7 series PLC and it has frequency-controlled SEW drives, Festo/Timmer pneumatic components and recipe-based control functionality. PROGRIP TX 240 offers reliable operation, rapid product changeovers and seamless integration into modern beverage packaging facilities.
